Event Details


One night program of outstanding and unique adventure films from around the world – showcasing films from high-octane sports such as skiing, climbing, kayaking and mountain biking. Increasingly topical environmental and mountain culture films to inform and entertain.

Run time 110 minutes.

Programme:

Janwaar – follow a rambunctious group of ids whose lives are transformed with a skatepark.

Turn the Corner – Lake Hawea’s Corner Peak 53 times in 53 days? Ned Brannigan’s call to those in his community to start conversation about mental health in the construction industry.

Momentum – Follow the journey of Australian Angie Scarth-Johnson who by the age of 18 had climbed 3 x 35 grades in Europe – what next?

Flow State – A documentary traversing the highest line of extreme sport, 1000m above the ground.

Changabang: Return to the Shining Mountain In 1976 British alpinists made the first ascent of the West Wall of Changabang.  for the next four decades it gained legendary status as failed attempts became a list. In 2022 3 members of the NZ Alpine Team tried their luck on this infamous climb.

New Way Up – the Karakoram mountains are known for their huge scale and jaw dropping beauty – can the help of a paraglider help the team with the highly glaciated terrian of Gulmit Tower?
